Approach each day with joy, build positive expectations, and begin living your best life with this year of devotions designed to strengthen your faith and resolve.
Bestselling author Joel Osteen writes, “When you get up in the morning, the first things you should do is set your mind in the right direction . . . and then go out anticipating good things.”
Now, for the first time, Pastor Osteen presents a tool to accomplish that goal. Based on his book, Your Best Life Now, he offers prescriptions for positive living in 365 daily messages. Each message is accompanied by a relevant scripture.

Starting my day with purpose.
Tithing isn’t always about mooney. It is important to tithe our time as well. This book is helping me to intentionally and purposefully give of my time as I start each day.

Great start for the day!
I love listening to his sermons each time. I have always found him to preach values that are in perfect balance with religion and science. Lately, I have been reading many books about increasing your productivity and living a more positive life. From all that I read and practiced so far, reading good stuff in the morning is one of the best ways to start your day. This book is one such great resource . The daily devotions presented in this book are short – you wont need more than 15 minutes to read and reflect over it. I love how it sets my mood on the right track every morning . This book mostly reminds us about our worth as an individual (which we sometimes forget) and helps to strengthen our faith and courage to face all the problems in life . I somehow find that the ideas in the daily devotions are repetitive . May be the author is trying to reinforce them -which is good though. But I personally like his daily emails more (named : Today’s Word with Joel & Victoria) . Nevertheless , this book is also one on my daily-must-read list . Thank you very much Joel!

May be the only positive, encouraging message you encounter all day
Joel Osteen tells the story (not recorded in this book) of a man who had a one-hour commute each way to work. He would listen to a political talk show on the radio during his commute. Callers would debate with each other, get angry, and be rude to each other.By the time the man got to work, he would be so upset, no one would want to talk with him. Then, one day, he was flipping through the channels on his SiriusXM radio. He came across Joel Osteen on the radio. And then found he could not turn him off. After a year, the man reported, he was a changed man. People at work now so loved to be around him, they would ask him, “So what happened to you?”Similarly, spending a few moments each morning with this inspirational book may also change the course of each of your days.First, the book has a fabulous aesthetic feel. It’s a hardcover book that is very … soft.Next, to get the motivational effect of this book may take you only 30 seconds to a minute each morning. So even though you will look forward to reading each positive message, it will not take much time out of your day to establish a highly beneficial habit. Each page is beautifully laid out and contains a short bible passage and a real-world application. And given the cynical nature of many of the people you encounter during the day (who, like the callers into that talk show, may instead simply classify themselves as being “realistic”), it may be the only positive, uplifting moment you have each day.

I enjoyed this (and still am) as it is a daily “devotional” it helps to connect to Spirit and Joel is so down to earth,. I love his talks/sermons and wished that some of our dear Vicars, Priests, Pastors could enthuse like this and I am sure they would get more attendees to their Churches. Joel makes sense of some of the more deeper meanings of the Bible; and this little daily inspirational book makes you feel and know that God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are definitely all on your side and all you have to do is to feel and show some gratitude for your life, and to know that you are not alone in challenges that life puts before you – there IS a reason for everything, but you will not necessarily know and understand why certain things happen, but to continue in faith through the good and the bad; you remain His child always.Well that’s how I see it anyway. Faith is Faith, and nobody will make you have this, it is there for everyone, you still have your choices. You choose! Remember to listen to the small voice within, it is that small voice you should follow.I hope this helps you tooo!May your journeys be safe and fruitful.BlessingsZigibins
