Hands Down MacArthur Series is the Best Study Bible
I own several MacArthur study bibles and they never fail to impress me. He was one of the best modern scholars in the world and his wealth of knowledge shows in these study bibles. From the very beginning he offers short lectures on how the Bible came to be, why we should read it, how to study it and then we dive in and his teachings are nothing short of fascinating and inspiring.Now, these bibles are of course big and heavy, it’s not a church bible by all means. But perfect for your personal studies at home or for a Bible study group. His notes are the perfect guidance to aid you becoming richer in your understanding of the scripture and the Gospels. The pages are vibrant and the text is easy to read, including the notes, however some might need magnification. Again they are large and a bit heavy just so you know. However they contain a wealth of knowledge that few other study bibles offer.I wholeheartedly recommend this or any of the MacArthur study bibles. For yourself, for a gift, for anyone who wants to go deeper on Gods word. The price is right and well worth it.

I have the NKJV of the MacArthur Study Bible and gave it away. I was interested in the LSB so I purchased this. The MacArthur Study Bible has great footnotes in it. I highly recommend this.

I got this as a gift for my husband for his studies and it’s a beautiful Bible. It has a nice flop to it and it lays flat for studying, no stubborn spine trying to close on you every few seconds. The print is dark and easy to read and sections are labeled so you can easily see what the topic is. The study notes are great. I also bought this same Bible for my Dad.

ALL THE GLORY TO GOD!!
Outstanding Bible and study notes! I own the ESV and LSB versions and use them both in my studies. I read the reviews and can tell that most if not all of the individuals that gave it a 1 star never even read the whole Bible or even bought any of John’s books or this study Bible for that matter. All that it states in Scripture is God’s Word. He didn’t change a thing in it, nor did he add anything to it. It’s a shame that charismatic’s already know that John is a Calvinist and then approach an Amazon review for millions to see and lie to millions to try and make them believe they read this Bible. Absolute hypocrisy and down right evil. All in the name of themselves. Because they want some sort of gift, they want to be apostles, they want to prosperity, they want to heal other through divine powers, they want what THEY want. It’s all about themselves… Idolatry!! Truth is what matters, and that’s exactly what’s in this Bible. God’s Word is Truth and truth is what Dr. John MacArthur preached during his days in this wicked world we live in. Praise God and ALL the glory belongs to Him and Him ONLY!! Millions of us Christian’s thank God for the works that John provided us through the blessed Holy Spirit! Along with many other men of God that preached the Gospel of our God, Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, not the word and works of man. Not the babble, shaking, crying, laughing and fake healing of man. The Word of God says signs or tongues are a warning for unbelievers not a sign for believers… The LORD said, “So tongues are not meant for believers, but are a warning for unbelievers; while prophecy is not designed for unbelievers, but for those who come to faith.” (1Cor 14:22-25). This Bible states this as many others do as well… May John’s soul continue to rest in the unimaginable joy and peace with our God, Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and may God continue to bless us all with His Word, His loving-kindness, grace and mercy. With that being said the LORD said, “He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (Rev 22:20)

Beautiful Bible but trust in Lord above all men! …even the good ones.
Great looking Bible and nice quality. I love that it says “Yahweh” in the LSB translation. LSB and NASB are respected as being some of the most accurate translations into English possible and it is easy to read and understand.I respect MacArthur’s opinion on scripture. He was a great teacher and expositor of the Word, however, I feel it’s important to remember that this is still one man’s opinion. Though he provides some great insight and context in the notes, lean on no man for the definitive Word of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is our Divine Revealer. Trust Him above all.That leaves me to one last critique though. I’m not a fan of the fact that it doesn’t say “Holy Bible” on the front. It says “The MacArthur Study Bible.” Top billing goes to my Lord!

A pretty decent Study Bible to go alongside my McArthur KJV Study Bible from the same publisher. However, for the price being charged the level of detail in the print is quite simplistic and there is no Red Letter text included which I find a big let down for a Bible touting such a level of quality. My KJV study Bible was of a similar cost and yet has full colour photo’s of historical sight’s, museum exhibits, and regional maps as well as more extensive study notes and resources included despite the same author and publisher being involved.This is why I have left it a star short because I know from the KJV translation the quality could be better.All that being said, if this is your first Study Bible then it is begginer friendly and won’t overwhelm you with information like many others out there. If you’re looking for something more in depth then the MacArthur KJV from the same Publisher is a great option.
