I like many things about this book – but hate one thing so much I don’t want to pick it up.GOODBook looks and feels good with leather – or leather like flexible cover.Measures 7×5 so it’s small and convenient.Very well thought out in all categories that you want a daily devotional to be.Love that the date is small and does not command attention.Love title of each page is large all caps.Love the scripture in italics and reference book/chapter/verse.Love the narration about bible stories without goofy personal stories that are hard to relate with.Love scripture references in the body.Love how the last sentence or two is a suggestion – question – or call to action.BADMy only complaint is a publishing issue.The outside margin is far, far wider than the inside margin.It’s slightly hard to read print along inside margin without forcing the book open – which can damage the spine.See photo.The book received is obviously one of a large batch of printings that were off centered.So now it sits on the shelf collecting dust because I have other devotionals that are just as good, and they are printed straight with balanced, even margins.The seller was Amazon – not a third party – I did not know Amazon would sell second run reject items at full price.

Most of what I read outside the Bible is from John Macarthur because of the excellent depth of his teaching. I read the book Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby and it really helped me look at God from a different perspective. I am at the end of 2017 and after reading Experiencing God Day By Day, I will continue to do so in 2018. This is not you daily Bread of fluff stories that stir your emotions, this is real meat and something that will challenge you every day. If you add this to your daily study of God’s word, you won’t regret it.
