    Priceless bonding and communication!
What my husband and I get out of this book many couples pay thousands for in couples therapy. The connection, conversation, bonding, and growth we achieve each week is well worth the cost of this book and then some. We used to do a shorter daily “Devo” (devotional) but the content wasn’t half this good. We use this book once a week, on date night. And our marriage has never been stronger. I struggle with my faith and it helps me feel closer to God and to my husband. I STRONGLY recommend this book. I specifically chose it because it was written by a woman (a rare find amongst good devotional books) and she balances scripture and scientific research on relationships as her sources. The shining star of this book is the discussion questions at the end of each short chapter. The sessions really do take only about 30 minutes. Maybe a little longer or shorter based on your answers to the discussion questions. If you currently use a short, shallower Devo book daily, I encourage you to add this weekly gem to your routine. It goes so much more in depth. My husband loves it just as much as I do.

    Love this book!!
My husband and I just started this book. We are on week 1 and we absolutely love this book! It sparks so much conversation for us and brings us closer. It suggests that you have a bible and a notebook handy. I love taking notes and reading the Bible with my husband. One day when we look back at our journal it will be so wonderful to reminisce on this special bonding time we shared together. This book is for engaged and married couples. I hope you enjoy this book as much as my husband and I have. One other thing…. it’s not KJV but since it does have the verse listed underneath we easily can translate it to the KJV version. Defiantly worth the money! I hope this help someone! Get this book if you want to grow in your relationship!!!! You can read it as a group, use it in your Sunday school class, alone, or with your spouse. They’ve included directions on how to use the book in different ways. Make sure you read through the introduction! The people who wrote this book have a very touching story! Enjoy this book and take your time.

    Great Book!
Really good book, I love reading from someone else’s perspective on what helped their relationship. Every page comes with discussion questions which gives us something to talk about rather than just reading and moving forward, it’s helped a lot with our communication. Definitely recommend this book!

An excellent book to create a intimate bond with your partner
With weekly topics to read an discuss together, Michelle nails it on proposing the type of vulnerable, thought provoking, reflective questions to bring couples closer in intimacy and spiritual connectedness. Michelle’s writing style is relatable and warm; her passion for bringing couples closer in their relationship is apparent. I love how this book is a devotional, with weekly topics to span a year; it is the work of marriage in small, easy chunks of checking in, turning toward, and growing closer. I have to say that I am not a religious person, and if I had not been a huge fan of Michelle and her husband’s #staymarried podcast, I might have missed out due to my own biases. Michelle speaks to the truth of the spiritual connection in marriage without prostylizing. My husband an I have been married 26 years; it’s amazing and it’s really hard work. I wish we had this when we were newlyweds, and am ever grateful to have this wisdom available now.

    Great Discussion Material
Really enjoying this book as a source for connection and discussion with my husband. There doesn’t seem to be a huge focus on the Bible like I was hoping for, but for a starter devotional I’m really enjoying it.

My husband and I purchased two copies of this book to read together before we got married. The purpose was to increase our spiritual connection and explore/discuss some relationship topics that we normally wouldn’t discuss on our own; this book encouraged us to do so. It has bible principles and has discussion questions that encourage dialogue and thoughtful discussion which would benefit those contemplating marriage and those who are newlywed. We enjoyed reading the book and looked forward to the days we dedicated to doing so. The only downside was that it made light of the Saturday sabbath which is sign of our allegiance to God throughout eternity. Exodus 31:13; Ezekiel 20:12, 20. We believe that in order for a marriage or relationship to flourish it needs to make Christ the centre of it; which means following all God’s commandments.

We wanted a devotional that was short to cover since we will be doing a longer pre-marriage counselling in our church. This book has and still is a great asset to talking about the real issues in marriage: money, fights, expectations. We always came away feeling like we got to know the inner workings of each other and understand how our histories have influenced our responses to situations in life.Couldn’t recommend it more for couples who are planning for marriage, or just married.
