I bought this for my secret prayer buddy who is preparing for First Communion. It is perfect for kids at that level, or even older. The prompts are educational and inspire a child to think about prayer and it’s function. The book itself is very engaging, colorful, well constructed, affordable, and user friendly. I will keep this on my list of potential gifts for future prayer buddies and grandkids.

Kids Appreciate A Guide
I like this journal. I work with the youth at my church & a member purchased them for our kids. Someone mentioned they didn’t like the repetition, but that’s how kids learn. Not to mention their response to the questions are what makes the journal unique & important. They can go back and acknowledge a prayer that God answered for them personally. This is a great tool & I recommend anything that helps anyone draw closer and establish a personal relationship with God. If someone doesn’t like the repetition you could always use microsoft word to create a personalized journal. I hope this helps someone. Thanks for reading my review!

Accessible for kids!
My daughters 6 &8 are able to complete this daily by themselves and really love it! I set them out and let them choose if they want to journal in the mornings and more often than not they choose to color and draw and write their little prayers – the ultimate keepsake!

Easy to read, cute font
This is a cute book written in a kid-friendly font. We ordered several kids’ prayer journals to examine, but ultimately decided not to use this one (we will save it for a gift to pass along). I do like the coloring pages that appear sporadically, but overall, the morning and evening prayers on a daily basis are just too much for our needs; I would love to see this on a weekly schedule, which would make it more convenient for focusing on thoughts, ideas, and specific prayers over several days’ time and allow us to see more easily when God has answered those prayers.

Bought this for my 8 year old daughter for bed time. We read a passage each night in a children’s bible so this is to help her get her thoughts and feelings on paper. Good prompts, she loves it. My 3 year old loves to hear her answers each night.

This is my son’s second prayer journal, I think he prefers this one over the other brand we tried. This is more about writing then drawing. He’s not a fan of art, and would rather just write words in the boxes he was supposed to draw in. I love that this one is more guided for him. He can do this one himself. He is 7
