Marriage is a Blessing
My husband and I are both born-again Christians and have been on a spiritual journey to draw closer to God and to each other. As with many other married Christians, we want our relationship to be God centered so that we can be a blessing to each other as He has been to us individually. These devotions were easy to read along and though not all of them were applicable to us specifically, it was enjoyable to share in the personal revelations and perspectives of David and Lori.Relationships take a lot of work, effort, patience and copious amounts of love and respect. Love the brevity of the devos, yet deep spiritual applications
What a great way to start or end the day with a devotion that my husband and I can apply to our walk with the Lord and to each other. I love the transparency of the two authors, David and Lori Hatcher, and the brief devos that have an application I can take with me for the rest of the day. The stories help us approach topics we’d been reluctant to discuss and remind us of biblical principles that draw us closer to God and each other. The authors share honest accounts of their marriage struggles and offer wise counsel on topics like anger, regret, and pride. Devotion titles like “Sweaty Socks” and “Wrestling Buffalo and Washing Dishes” intrigued us while “Don’t Feed Meatloaf to the Dog” brought hysterical laughter.
