Soulful writing and incredible content
I’m now on I think my fifth book by Max. God gifted him with a talent to write in a way that speaks to the heart. I look forward to daily morning worship using his books as a guide. I love that they have chapter study questions that guide you through Bible verses and thoughtful reflection. This book was my first and I’ve since loaned it out to my mom who is loving it as much as I did!

I love the reassuring title, God Never Gives up on You. I think this book is more about God than it is about Jacob. I particularly enjoy & appreciate Max Lucado’s writing style especially when he interjects clever humor that aids in understanding his message. And his message is an especially encouraging one…God is not looking for opportunities to judge, chastise or punish His children. But rather, He wants to bless us, so He continues to give us grace that we can never earn nor deserve… And although Jacob’s story makes it clear that God doesn’t wink at sin, it also demonstrates what an awesome, loving & kind God we serve! Thanks, Max, for giving us such a beautiful, well-written glimpse into the character & love of God & His awesome grace

Amazing book and great reminder of Gods Grace and how we are no different than Jacob.
I LOVE reading books by Max Lucado and this was another great one. I love how he gives scripture throughout his books and examples of how we are no different than those of old who had the same troubles and trials. Gods Grace is there for me just as it was for Jacob and is for anyone else who believes and trusts in the Lord.

Like most books by this author, I truly enjoyed this read. In it, the author provided an in-depth look at the life of Jacob and how it relates to us all these years later. He showcases the mistakes of man but even more so, the grace of God. The book was both convicting and encouraging, and I highly recommend it.
