Great Bible to take to Church
Love this Bible! I bought it because I wanted something smaller and lighter to take to church than my study and journaling Bibles. The leather feels great and has that flop to it that makes it easy to read in your lap. I can hold it with one hand and it’ll stay open to that page and not slam shut or fall over. It’s a good size, easy to read but not so big it won’t fit in most purses. As other reviews have said the leather might scuff easily but it’s a sturdy leather that feels like it’ll handle heavy use for years to come. I don’t mind the scuffing personally, just adds some character but if that’ll bother you maybe don’t order this one. For the price and the leather I’d say it’s worth the money (paid $48) but I don’t think I’d lay much more than that before I started looking at sayyyyy, the MacArthur bibles. This is still just a thin line Bible with no notes or commentary or cross references.All in all, it’s great for Church and being on the go, but that’s about its limitations.

LOVE IT!!
Just received this Bible and immediately fell in love with it. It’s basic. No cross reference. No study notes. Just basic. I’ve already started to add my own notes into it. It IS full grain leather! Part of the description states that it’s in the paperback category. It’s definitely not a paperback. The leather seems to be unfinished allowing scratches and oils to be absorbed. This will help the patinas with age. Love the “thin line” as it’s not too bulky when going to church or to Bible study. This should be way more expensive than what I paid for it. Looking forward to see how this ages in the hopes that I loved one will cherish it when I’m gone (hopefully not too soon).

Great Bible
This is my first Bible, love the leather grain. It does scratch and mark easily on the cover but that doesn’t bother me. I love the red line text, it’s small enough that I can take it anywhere with me

Great size Bible with the 2025 text revisions.
I really like the size of this Bible. I had the student study version, which was good but the print was too small. I also had a large print version, but I found the text too large. The text size in this version is good -still on the smaller side but fine and makes for a thinner Bible. I also wanted the ESV with the 2025 text version – this one has that. They made some word changes that I thought made certain verses clearer. I like the feel of the Bible. The cover is soft and grippy. Yes, it will scratch easily, but that just makes it look used and broken in. No problem here. I prefer this over a heavy stiff cover or one that is smooth and slippery. The pages are thin but I did not find them sticking together too much – every Bible that I have bought with gold edging have pages that stick together initially. You just need to carefully separate them the first time you read that section. No big deal. I find that there is minimal bleed through of text from the back. Also, I have highlighted text with a wax type highlighter and underlined with a very fine point pen meant for Bible markups and do not see bleed through on the other side. Just use pens and highlighters specifically designed for Bible marking. Very happy with the purchase.

Excellent leather quality. ESV has become my go to translation. Wish I had paid attention and got single column, but oh well. Praise his name!

Absolute Yes
I was looking for a Bible that was lightweight and easily read…I found it! I will be taking this to all my Bible Studies and I am using it at home because my go to Bible is so heavy. I also like the Red Letter! Not pricy for what you get! I read a review that said they were missing scriptures, I looked at mine and nothing is missing.

Found My forever Bible
Finally found my perfect Bible. The font is large enough to read comfortably and the leather is so soft and supple. If you’re considering getting this just do it. It’s so worth it.

Mis-cut pages and splotchy foiling on the edges. Was expecting better attention to detail and presentation at this price point.The leather is not top grade, showing signs of use straight out of the box. Form factor of a thinline is 10/10 but save yourself the extra and get one of the cheaper options.

This review is for ESV Thinline in Full Grain Leather, ISBN 979-8874903534, 2025 Text edition and not the previous 2016 text edition that has a different isbn number.As mentioned, this series has been revised to the latest ESV 2025 text (although some 2016 edition may still be sold in the market). The 2025 text has been slightly enlarged from 8 to 8.5-point font, mostly line-matched (about 85-90%) so not perfectly so. The print has become ever so slightly lightened. The paper appears to be about the same as previously, lightly cream-coloured but still quite thin. However, because of the better line-matching and lighter font, ghosting has largely been reduced. What results is an improved reading experience. I cannot say much about the 2025 text edition as I haven’t studied the revisions. Just pointing out the physical aspects. Hope this helps.The liner is brown and looks like paper but it is actually vinyl which is more durable than paper. The full grain leather cover is not sticky but gives a slightly velvety feel. Every piece will look slightly different. This will scratch and patina with use, which will give it its own character in time. If you are someone who likes that, get this full grain leather one. Otherwise, get the genuine leather, buffalo leather or Trutone ones. Please check the isbn number against Crossway website to see if the publish date is from July 2025 onwards, if you prefer the 2025 text edition.
