Received Red Letter❤️
I was nervous to receive black letter based on all the reviews saying they did not receive the red letter. Thankfully I did receive the right one! I think maybe because it has the same cover as the black letter, that someone may just mix up the product, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind replacing with the correct Bible if you needed to. I do care about having red letter and have spent YEARS looking for an ESV Single Column Journaling Bible with red letter! I am very happy with my purchase! My regular ball point pens don’t bleed through the pages, as well as my mildliner pastel highlighters.

Praises
My 13yr loves the bible, ESV is what her youth pastor reads from, so I purchased it so she could follow along easier. The price was perfect, and the hardback makes journaling easier. Pages are thin, so I encourage the no bleed bible highlighters; she can use a pen (not a felt-tip style) or pencil on the pages. I noticed when shopping for ESV, it was limited styles on Red Print, which is, of course, a personal preference; this one has it.

Good but not great.
I love the ESV. This Journaling Bible has two issues. First the print is small and translation notes even much smaller. Second, the pages are thin, so even with a good “Bible” pen there is some bleed thru.

Excellent 🙂
This Bible feels like an invitation—to draw near, to stay awhile, to respond to the living Word with your whole heart. The single-column layout keeps your focus where it should be: on Scripture. No distractions. No clutter. Just the text, flowing clearly, with wide margins that leave room for reflection. Room for prayers. Room to record the wrestle and the wonder. The red-letter text draws attention to the voice of Christ with quiet reverence. The pages are strong enough to welcome ink and time. And the binding allows the Bible to stay open—like His Word always is.This is a Bible designed to be used—not stored. To be carried, studied, prayed through, and written in. Over time, these pages will hold both God’s truth and your testimony of walking with Him.If your desire is to plant yourself in the Word—and stay rooted—this is a faithful companion for the journey.

No Red Lettering
No red lettering, picture is the same page they reference in the listing.

No red letter, and this is now my primary Bible.
It’s not red-letter. With that out of the way, the Bible is what I expected in a bible. It has hard-cover and pages are easy to turn. I feel like the amount of margins are just right where I could write down simple notes like cross references. The text is readable to me.Overall, i didn’t have any issues with the bible and it has what I would expect in bibles (I have many and used others). With regards to the red-letter, I personally don’t feel strongly having it so it doesn’t bother me not having it. However, I can see someone would get a red-letter bible just to have this feature and how it would bother them if the wrong one is shipped to them.Again, I am confirming that the bible I received has NO red letters for Jesus’s words. However, I am not bothered by it and I enjoy the bible for what it is, the larger footprint for better readability, easier to turn pages compared with more compact bibles, the hard cover, and the margins for writing down notes.

Great quality. Great for notes.
This is a really great quality Bible. The pages are not too thin but not too thick either. Great for taking notes on. It’s on the thick side but that’s expected. The words are a good size as well. Not too small. There’s a good amount of space throughout for jotting down notes. This is a great study bible. Would also make an excellent gift.

Beautiful, well-constructed Bible
Everyone should have at least one Bible that is printed in paragraph form. This helps with understanding the structure and thought flow of each book. The verse numbers are still there for reference, but are small and don’t distract from the paragraph format. The columns for notes are in the outer margins, easy to access for notes and thoughts as you read. One of my favorite things about this Bible is the binding. It is a quality hardcover that allows the Bible to lie flat open at any point from Genesis to Revelation. The elastic band which keeps the book closed when transporting is also a handy feature, and the inclusion of a ribbon bookmark makes it easy to pick up where you left off. The ESV footnotes are included at the bottom of each page, which is nice for quick reference, and they have also included a reading plan for completing the Bible in a year. Overall, a nice edition for studying and recording short notes.
