Great Bible!
This is great! Bigger than I expected, but I don’t mind because the font is such a good size. Other Bibles I’ve owned have such tiny text. So much space for notes!

Great journaling design
My husband requested a bible simple in design but with room for journaling on the side. This met all the above. The font is a nice size and there is just enough space to write on the edges. The pebbled leather is a classic look.

Nice journaling Bible
Journaling Bibles especially large print seem hard to find. The preferred translation is NASB and none seem to be available. The ESV is the second best translation as far as word for word translation goes. NIV is more thought for thought. This ESV journal Bible has a good sized print for those who prefer a larger print Bible. The cover is durable on this particular Bible. Having purchased a few journal Bibles, this is what has become an acceptable standard.The pages in the Bible are cream colored. I must say I do prefer White pages and not sure why most of these Bibles come in cream colored pages. Seems to be more with journal Bibles. I have purchased journal Bibles in 7/7.5 size font Bibles and the print is actually too small to read, and for my use the note taking a less than desirable experience since the Bible and margins are smaller. This 9.5 is more suitable. The one drawback of the most current ESV journal Bibles available are the journal lines. Some may prefer not to have lines for more freedom of writing. I prefer the lines and the lines are basically 1 journal line per every two text lines. I have one ESV journal Bible no longer available it’s line for line and that’s more preferable but still functional for my style of taking notes.A pencil is preferred in note taking. Typically a .7 lead mechanical pencil is used for erasablity as well as an 8 colored set of .7 mechanical pencils for highlighting or notes in color preference. The pages of the Bible are thin but not as thin as some Bible so there isn’t as much bleeding of notes or text opposite side of page when reading or note taking. I tend to use plastic protector on the opposite site of the page for a more solid surface and help prevent “bleeding” of pencil when writing. It’s not necessary and still presents a good journal experience.Overall, this journal Bible and translation has been effective for my preferences and is a good quality Bible. It doesn’t offer any study options or other notes. It’s just a plain Bible for journaling and in this use case, other Study Bibles are used for that purpose and notes in this journal Bible are kept. There are various colors and styles to choose from and you can find yourself a great deal as some have off and on offered discounts.

Great Bible for Reading
I have single column Bibles in several different versions. My preference is for a single column with no cross references and this Bible fits that perfectly. The pages are a little thin but for me the “ghosting” is not a huge distraction. I have not had any issues with text from the back of the page inhibiting my ability to read.The Bible is a convenient size and would be a good bit thicker if different paper was used. So, I get the trade off.The binding seems to be well done and the leather cover has a very nice feel. I’ve only had it for a week, but it seems like it will stand up to years of use.If you are looking for a single column ESV Bible for reading, this one is the best option I have found and I am very happy with it.

Very nice quality, plenty of room for note taking. The paper is thicker than usual which is great! Also it’s cream colored paper which i find is very easy on the eyes. Very pleased with this Bible.

Great paper, good sized font and lovely quality cover. Plenty of room in the margins for notes and no artwork getting in the way. My only negative would be that I find it ever so slightly too large and unwieldy

I love this bible. The ESV is a very good translation that leans towards literal. The bible itself is a good size, with a quality feel. (I had the soft back, leather look version in tan.) The large print version is a lot easier on the eyes and the paper isn’t too thin. It is single column (about 2/3 of each page, with 1/3 of each page left for notes.) There is also a single page ribbon. It would have been even more great had they added some blank pages at the back for further notes too.

I’ve been looking for a bible like this for a while now.I love the leather and the fact you can write your own reflections beside the readings.The words are big enough to see for those who have some difficulty reading up close.A beautiful and worthwhile gift to give for someone special
