Beautiful, large print bible
I looked at a LOT of bibles before eventually purchasing this one, and I am very happy with it. The print is easy to read (my eyes are getting worse as I age, so this was a must!) and it has a great, quality feel. The only downsides are (1) it doesn’t include any red print (not a deal-breaker for me) and (2) I wish it came in more color options. It’s a lovely blue-gray, but I would have preferred a slightly more feminine color. Overall, I’m very pleased with it.

The Living Word
This is such a beautiful ESV Bible from Crossway. Keep in mind, Crossway was the first to publish the ESV back in 2001 so they’re obviously the trusted source. We prefer the ESV over other versions because it is known to be the word for word English translation. The Bible is God breathed, so I prefer to not have anything but God’s Words when I open the book.The cover is a very attractive blue slate (I would describe as gray) and the imitation leather, which should protect nicely, is designed with ornamental features to really add to its elegance. I know there’s also a genuine leather option available for a little more cost, so that’s definitely worth the upgrade for sake of durability. Otherwise in my experience the imitation leather does protect over time, it just tends to get worn on the surface and can even become unrecognizable if you’re really making use of it. And I pray that’s the case for you, it won’t be a bad thing. The hallmark of a strong Christian is a beat up Bible, I pray that you get so much use out of this that it becomes tattered and torn!Upon opening, there’s a noticeable quality as well as all necessary features to expect from Crossway. The initial and final sets of pages are a thicker stock, which adds to the protection of the thinner inner pages. Within these 1,568 pages with gold edging, you’ll find dedication pages for weddings & funerals, both Old and New Testaments, as well as glossary and a handful of high quality Biblical maps for reference. I like the 11-point type, the enlarged and bolded verse numbers, along with the extra wide one-inch margins. It’s good to take notes, write down references and other verses so this allows for plenty of space to do so.This is the Living Word and God speaks through this so that we may receive it, understand it, and have a relationship with Him as result of daily reading. I personally like to write all over the extra spaces as I learn, so I can remind my future self what a verse taught me or what other verses it points to. It’s your Bible, treat it with respect but don’t treat it like a glass ornament that can’t be touched. Use this like it’s your right hand, depend on these words as you do water and air, and they will lead you to the life He has planned for you.

Lovely Bible both inside and out
This ESV Large Print Wide Margin Bible is everything that the title promises. The English Standard Version is a translation of the Bible that reads in current-day vernacular while still being based on the original language. It’s considered to be a literal translation that’s based on the 1971 Revised Standard Bible, according to Crossway (its publisher). The soft, easily-opened cover is imitation leather and its color is Slate Blue. Inside, there’s a satin ribbon to mark your place and the pages, while thin, are still sturdy.The print size is 11-point type and the letter design is clean and clear. The text is divided into two columns on each page, with about an inch of white space for journaling or notes on the outsides of each page. When the Bible’s closed, you can see that the pages’ edges are a pale golden color. At the back of the book are several pages of colorful Bible maps, printed on sturdy paper. Plus a table of weights and measures.It has been a joy to use and read this Bible. The clean page design means that there isn’t a lot of clutter, and the side-by-side columns make it very easy to read. The text size is fantastic. The Bible is soft and comfortable to hold and it also stays open where you’ve opened it to. Wonderful for reading and Bible study.

The perfect large print Bible
I am a fan of ESV Crossway Bibles, and this large print edition is no exception. The attention to detail is amazing, and the Bible feels high-quality. The print is 11-point type and much easier on the eyes than the standard print Bible. This would make a great gift for someone who is visually impaired.The extra-wide 3/4 inch margins are a versatile feature, perfect for both journaling and note-taking. While they may not be as wide as a standard journaling Bible, they are still ample enough to capture your thoughts, especially if you prefer to write small and use a fine-tip pen. This adaptability ensures that your personal reflections and study notes can be easily accommodated.The back of the book contains full-color maps and a very detailed illustration of Jerusalem during Jesus’s time. I appreciate the full-color illustrations and maps.The pages are as thin as regular standard Bible pages, and the edges are sprayed with reflective gold. There is also one ribbon marker to help you keep your place.Overall, I highly recommend this Bible. Crossway didn’t miss, and it’s just as high quality as the rest of their Bibles with the added bonus of being more easily readable.

Creased pages, but otherwise excellent
I love this Bible…large print and wide margins! But I just discovered that there is a crease running down the pages from James on. My printer husband said it’s a binding issue. Unfortunately I didn’t see this until I had already written in it. But they are allowing a return anyway, so thank you for amazing service
