The sticker on the jar feels cheap and the scent is missing
The cross on the front of the glass was actually just a basic sticker that looked tacky, so I ended up peeling it off immediately. While the jar itself feels sturdy enough for a long burn, the wax does not have that distinct natural aroma you expect from real beeswax. The wick is surprisingly thin for a candle this size, which led to it sometimes falling over once blown out. It functions as a basic tall candle, but the lack of a honey fragrance is a letdown for something marketed as premium wax. I used this for a quiet evening reflection, but the overall quality felt more like a standard utility candle than a devotional piece.

Very nice, however…
It’s a nice candle, I just think it’s very expensive for what it is (currently $20). I have not priced beeswax candles, though. I did ask ChatGPT “Are there benefits to beeswax candles over other types such as soy or paraffin, etc?” And got a long answer, which I won’t bore you with. The short answer is beeswax is the best, but most expensive. Beeswax burns clean, is healthier as it’s not made from petroleum, and is long lasting. I think if you want to have the best, this is a good choice. To get an idea of the size, see my pictures. There is fragrance-free. There is no scent.

If Beeswax, Decent Value… Cross is Sticker.
There are a couple of issues. I’m having with this candle, but since I’m not certain of one, I’ll only take away two stars…I have been burning beeswax for decades… there are also sacred periods I observe, so a candle that lasted a good while sounded perfect. That’s why I ordered this candle… Best of both worlds. Plus, beeswax candles can be quite pricey at this size.The candle came well packaged to prevent damage, which I appreciated. But, I was a bit puzzled when I gave the candle a thorough inspection. I have come across varying shades of yellow to orange in beeswax, but nothing quite this orange. I’m not saying there isn’t something the bees are collecting that makes it so orange, but I found it a little strange. Then I went to smell it, and could smell absolutely nothing. There is always a soft honey aroma to beeswax, even when years old. The listing even makes a big deal about it. Yet, I can smell nothing at all when unlit. I’m not quite ready to burn it, so I will report back if I smell these wax while it’s burning, but I’m not hopeful.Next, the listing talks about blown glass… I do not know why they would even say that when it is pressed glass that has a seam going down the side. I’ve included a photo with the seam circled.Finally, the cross is a vinyl sticker. Not really a big deal for me, especially as the candle can be non-denominational after removal. It just looked more permanent in the listing.I’ll report back after trying the candle out, but I’m comfortable reviewing it at three stars from my initial impressions.
