The book contains 40 guided prayers. A prayer book to be used on various occasions. After the brief introduction, he gets straight to the point. The prayers are short and beautiful. There are also biblical passages. I appreciated this publication.

Perfect Prayer Book when struggling to get started in prayer
I pray daily, some days often. I know what’s on my mind as to what I want to pray about but the words don’t come out. My mind doesn’t settle as I want it to. I found Max Lucado’s Pocket Prayers “40 Simple Prayers That Bring Peace And Rest.” It’s exactly what I needed. I included 3 prayer examples of what’s in the book I found to be my favorites. I like how each prayer begins with a scripture followed by Mr. Lucado’s prayer. Each prayer touches on a variety of topics but all that apply to everyday life I’d say most Christians can relate to. This was a gem to find. It’s small enough to keep in my purse. I always have it on my nightstand where I grab it when I’m ready to pray, if needed. For as little as it costs I reap in the benefits. I highly recommend!

This small book is very useful, especially for new comers in the Christian family, or those you want to renew their faith. It will also greatly be appraciated by those who always end up saying the Lord’s prayer, but just don’t always know how to pray, how to pour out their heart and praise the Lord. I’m not a native English speaker (French is my mother tongue), so it’s even more useful to be able to enrich my “praying vocabulary”, not only for myself, but for the people I want to pray for, in various circumstances.It’s cheap , light ; you can carry it with you in a purse, and pray while you commute to and and from work for instance.I highly recommend it.
