Soft to the touch, not to the knees
I ordered this rug in brown and was pleased to see the deep, rich color when it arrived. The fabric is extremely soft, velvety and pleasant to the touch. But padded and with a non-slip backing? Not really. I suppose it has more padding than a very thin roll-up rug, but to my old knees, it certainly doesn’t feel padded. And I can easily push it around on my hardwood floor with my foot; the backing is pleasant to look at but in no way non-slip. Overall, it’s adequate but not ideal for an old person.

Good quality prayer mat (jaanimaz)
I love this prayer mat, it’s soft and padded. The padding is not like carpet padding, more like a moving blanket, don’t expect any bounce. It is nicely made, wide and longer than your typical jaanimaz. For me, I’m 5’11” and when I go for sajdah my head rests at the edge of the jaanimaz (I wish it was 2 inches longer. But that’s much better than my other jaanimaz where I have to stand outside of the prayer mat to get my head on the prayer mat itself. It is nicely made, very soft, and I like the coffee color.
