I bought this based on a recommendation and I’m so glad I did. This past year was a real struggle after losing my job, a rough pregnancy, the strain it put on my marriage and getting postpartum depression. The book is dated, so I chose to start on the date I received it and it’s exactly what I needed to read. I love this one so much more than my other prayer book. I promise you won’t regret buying this. Every message feels genuine and is so uplifting for me and I’m sure it will be that way for you too. A couple days before this book came it I reached out to my doctor for help with PPD, but after a couple weeks of reading through this book and finally seeing my doctor, we both agreed I’m not currently in need of medicinal treatment. So, if you need some reassurance, confidence, and faith in your life, buy this book.

2020 was a struggle for most people; personal issues made it worse for me! This book was my daily reassurance of the love of God – the pillar that propped me up and stopped me from going under! It was as though God gave Chris Caine a diary of my daily experiences in advance and asked her to write words of exhortation to remind me that His eyes were on me.I initially bought this devotional to deepen my faith walk but it ended up saving me! It was a beautiful experience being in a pit and having the unwavering assurance that God was using it as a place of transformation, to the extent that I could praise Him in the pit! My experience has drawn me closer to God and this book helped me to keep my faith and not ‘die’ in the pit. It was the hope that kept me going because it reminded me daily that God was and is for me! I love, love, love this devo! Christine Caine is so gifted in digging deep, gently, lovingly and pointedly. The content is relevent and biblically sound (that said, im noy a biblical scholar) She has such a way with words that often leaves me encouraged, but also honest with God and myself. The devos are long enough to encourage reflection, but not so long that I put off my devo time due to the busyness of life.The quality of the hardcover book is outstanding, and the pages are (yes, this sounds weird) are smooth, sleek, tactiley and visually pleasing.I highly recommend this devo!
