Very uplifting Christian music
I love this Christian album. It seems that the Holy Spirit was present when they recorded these songs. You either like this kind of music or you don’t. It’s Christian music of the younger generation, but I’m 80 years old and I am moved and inspired by this music. This music lifts my spirit.

Old Church Basement is now my nightly “worship while washing dishes” album (replacing Graves into Gardens). The songs are easy to learn and easy to follow along with, sequenced for worship (lots of repetition), not a concert. Great range for me, too.A/B album division threw me at first until I figured that hour-long albums are perfect for worship and also: the perfect length to clean my kitchen.You might find it weird that I repeat this, but listening to this album nightly at the sink means the songs are STUCK not only in my head, but also in my heart.Lyrically, a lot of it is pulled straight from scripture, especially Psalms. Powerful to speak into your life. Musically, beautiful layered harmonies yet with melodies that anyone can follow.First track is A+ nostalgia. Recommend these “old hallelujahs to new melodies” for everyone.

This is another one of those CDs I purchased just to get a particular song (Jireh) and ended up loving the entire CD. If you want to go into the holy of holies & experience God’s presence on a whole other level, I highly recommend this CD. The female soloist’s sweet voice is soul-stirring & heart-touching on Jireh. Maverick City and Elevation Worship are two of my current favourite worship groups. The songs in this CD are spirit filled as usual and some of the tunes are very catchy as well. Helps also when the price was reduced after my order was placed and comes out cheaper than streaming.
